Connected & Effective
Teaming

Based on a study performed by Google called Project Aristotle, the most important factor for teams to be successful is psychological safety.

Based on neuroscience, mindfulness and behavioral research, this interactive program offers practical interpersonal skills grounded in attention training, growth-oriented mindsets and collaborative behaviors, to improve team performance. This training will help you and your team to:

  • Deepen self-awareness and learn how our thoughts and behaviors impact team dynamics

  • Expand awareness of self and others

  • Build effective and non-reactive communication skills

  • Generate a culture of trust and inclusion

  • Cultivate a prosocial mindset of humility and curiosity

  • Promote team interactions that create a learning community

  • Optimize team engagement, agility, and effectiveness

context

Current behavioral science, neuroscience and corporate research shows that when it comes to optimal team performance what really matters is less about who is on the team, and more about how the team works together. Specifically, individuals and teams work best in an environment where they feel:

  • Included

  • Safe when learning something new

  • Comfortable making contributions

  • At ease when challenging the status quo

  • Without fear of being embarrassed, marginalized or punished in some way

The workshop is highly interactive and includes breakout room conversations and larger group debriefs. We will also be doing journaling to deepen self awareness and personal challenges and opportunities for employees in relation to these topics.

The interactive program can be offered as a live online or in-person experience. It focuses on three essential aspects of team dynamics:

  • The “I” in Team: leveraging mindfulness skills and building self-awareness of how our thoughts, feelings and behaviors impact others.

  • The “We” in Team: building awareness of others to enhance psychological safety, trust and empathy.

  • Communication Skills: working more effectively with others using clear communication and feedback.

we also share a number of tips & tricks for leads on how they can relate and communicate with their direct reports in team meetings and 1 on 1's to create thriving team dynamics and working relationships.

A practical, experiential and highly interactive program presenting tools that can be applied immediately within teams and organizations.

Many thanks to John Puts and Armin Alibegović for taking us on a mindfulness and emotional Intelligence journey this week, which gave us a chance to breathe, reconnect, build empathy and compassion through the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI) programme for Kiron Open Higher Education.

I can definitely recommend them to bring this to all organisations during these unprecedented times to enhance well-being, leadership, resilience and collaboration, leading to improved team performance.

It was a great experience! Well planned and organised, yet flexible enough to leave room to anyone to share their own feelings.
It definitely helped me through this times and I am sure it will boost my resilience and motivation in the times ahead. Thank you John Puts and Connor Swenson for creating such a touching experience in a safe environment.

Whew, it’s been an incredibly busy couple of weeks but I was still able to spend sometime doing the practices and reflecting on what you guys taught us. The journey you took us on was very impactful and really helped me to stop and consider that we all have basically the same needs and wants so I should take the time to consider the other’s POV.

I discovered that I tend to take for granted the people around me and become self absorbed to the point of being dismissive anyone else’s situation. So thank you very much for that.
